General Enrichment Courses Fit for Allah: Fitness Class for Sisters | September 15 A healthy spirit will flourish in a healthy body. To lift the spirits and sculpt the physique, this class will focus on form, function, balance, stabilization, core conditioning, and burning calories. Nationally recognized Movement Therapist Delma Oliveras will lead you through exercise circuits and athletic drills for an absolute full body strength and conditioning workout. Fit for Allah: Fitness Class for Brothers | TBA As a follow up to our successful Fit for Allah sisters' fitness class, we have organized a brothers' only class every week. The teacher is Brother Rayhan Salahudeen, author of the highly successful book, "Boot Camp: The Ultimate Fitness Book." He has served in the US military and is certified by the National Association for Fitness Certification, The International Weightlifting Association, the Personal Training Institute, The Health Science Academy (US Army), and the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. He has worked as a fitness instructor and consultant for the past 17 years and has owned and operated "Physical Fitness Studio" in Manhattan. All skill levels welcome! Monthly Gatherings: Sisters' Circle The circle meets on every fourth Saturday of each month. Time: 5:30-8:00pm Suggested Donation: $10, dinner will be served. Location: M.E.C.C.A. (4 West 43rd Street, Suite 416, New York, NY 10036) A group session focused on applying Islam in our daily lives. Topics of discussion will include implementing Islamic etiquette in acquiring knowledge, how Islam can help in addressing our life issues related to health, stress management, marriage etc., and how we can practice our religious obligations at work and school.
